The photography is absolutely STUNNING. Dark, wet streets, sinister subway platforms, high heels on pavement, Elijah Cook, Jr. are some of the things associated with classic film noir. They are all here and then some. How the Breen office let the drummer scene fly is one of the great mysteries of film history.
A great mystery/thriller/film noir! It is listed on the AMC website as one of the greatest film noirs of the 1940's.
